We've Achieved BRONZE Equalities Award!

We are delighted to announce that the Academy has achieved the nationally recognised Equalities Bronze Award for our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

The Award was established in 2011 and over 800 schools have been part of the scheme since its origins and it provides support and guidance to ensure that schools can effectively promote equality and inclusion in every aspect of school life.

The Bronze Award demonstrates that the Academy has strong foundations in place to ensure equality in all four key areas of Behaviour and Welfare, Leadership and Management, Personal Development of Pupils and Teaching and Learning.  Securing this Award ensures that we can fulfil our statutory duties to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations between all pupils and promote community cohesion but, perhaps more importantly, this award shows that we are dedicated to ensuring that Stanground Academy is a place where all pupils can flourish and thrive.

We know that there is more to be achieved, and so we look forward to embarking on the even more prestigious Silver Award over the next 18 months and will update you with our progress on this journey!

If you have any comments or questions about our Equalities Work, then please feel free to contact our Diversity and Inclusion Lead, Mrs Rachel Burney, who will be very happy to assist.
